Nouvelles des classes de 6ème, 4ème et 2nde | News from our 6th, 8th and 10th grade classes
Les élèves d'espagnol de 4ème ont assisté à deux spectacles de danse par la compagnie Hispanic Flamenco ballet : le premier mettait en scène des danses de pays latino-américains et le second était plus centré sur des danses traditionnelles espagnoles. Quelques élèves ont aussi dansé sur scène à la fin de chaque spectacle avec les danseurs !
Our 8th grade Spanish students attended two dance shows from the company Hispanic Flamenco ballet. The first featured dances from Latin American countries and the second focused on traditional dances from Spain. Some of our students were invited to dance on the stage with the professional dancers at the end of the shows!
Tous les élèves de 6eme Espagnol sont allés voir une pièce de théâtre bilingue au théâtre Gala à Washington D.C. intitulée « Que las hay...las hay, believe it or not!». Ils ont beaucoup apprécié cette amusante pièce de théâtre pour enfants jusqu’à 12 ans qui développait la tolérance et le respect de nos voisins avec en toile de fonds fée et sorcière (c'était le jour d'Halloween). Ils ont pu poser des questions aux acteurs à la fin de la représentation.
Our 6th grade Spanish students attended a bilingual theatrical performance at the Gala Theater in Washington DC, "Que las hay, las hay...believe it or not." As their field trip took place on Halloween, it seems fitting that the comedic performance featured a fairy and a witch and portrayed the story of children who learn to appreciate tolerance and respect for their neighbors. The students really enjoyed this bilingual performance and were able to ask questions of the actors at the end of the performance.
Des élèves d'espagnol de 2nde ont travaillé sur l'axe: "définition de soi et par rapport à autrui". Ils ont analysé des documents qui permettent aux jeunes de se définir par rapport à leur entourage, activités, goûts, aversions, activités, famille, intérêts... Some of our 10th grade Spanish students analyzed different documents that help teenagers define themselves and their relationships with others (family, friends, activities, etc).They made flags to portray their individuality with themes including their activities, friends, likes, interests, family and dislikes.
